other than the Artist name at the top of the page.īut I haven't tried all that hard since usually it's all the same Artist, so no biggie, except for compilations. Never been able to get the "Artist per-track" field to show up on the Cue sheets either.
#BOUNCE REGION WAVEBURNER HOW TO#
Is it possible? Anyone know how to do it? I can't find any way to export the artist's field. So just make sure my understanding is crystal clear:ġ) WB applies dither in normal burning mode (not a "Bounce Project" file) when selected in Bounce preferences.Ģ) WB applies dither, if selected in Bounce preferences, while rendering a bounce via "Bounce Project".ģ) WB doesn't apply dither when burning a file that was rendered via "Bounce Project" so presumably one should not select dither in the Bounce preferences if this is the case. I double checked it this morning (with "Bit Usage" in Peak), with it "on" & "off". Would I enable dither on the bounce process and not on the subsequent burns? I.e., is dither embedded in the bounce so you don't have to use it on later burns?ĭithering in WB is only applied on bounce, not on burn. Most of the time I'm loading 24 bit files into WB but I'm still not clear from the earlier post about when dither is applied. I just decided to bounce or render a file, as discussed in this thread. Jerry Tubb wrote on Fri, 02 March 2007 12:56Īndy Krehm wrote on Thu, 01 March 2007 15:41 Maybe you guys could do the same when you have a crash? I should have attached a link to this forum. When the "report to Apple" dialog popped up I sent a short paragraph to Apple about how its' been about a year since an update, it still has a few minor bugs that need attention, and most of all that there are many of us MEs using it to burn masters, and that Apple should give WB more serious attention, along with my signature. I had a rare crash during preview mode with WB yesterday, but didn't lose anything. After tax season I'll be looking more seriously into sB. It's ironic that Apple a giant corporation has this great application, but largely ignores it, when Sonic Studio a small LLC is putting their "all" into SoundBlade. I really like Sonic PMCD as well, although its' not as quick & easy to do editing & crossfades. Not I, but I hear it works pretty well, when it doesn't crash. No, since dithering is only applied on bounce, not burn. iirc Matt G uses iZotope dithering as a plug in instead. Same here Peter, I've been using POW-r 2 most of the time on Bounce Project.ĭitto, if I have to burn multiple discs for refs, no need to "render" each time.Ībsolutely, POW-r 2, although the other dithers sound good too. Peter Beckmann wrote on Wed, 14 February 2007 06:42Įxactly!, bring the hotter ones down a few tenths of a dB. I have to confess, I'm still tempted by Sound Blade! Jerry, I assume you leave the dither setting to ON for when you bounce the project.ĭo you turn it off when you then burn from the bounced project?ĭo you turn the copy protection settings totally off for replication masters?ĭoes anyone use any plugins in Waveburner?Īside from the 'quirky' behaviour in the pregape purple zone its pretty sweet for final assembly.

Its just one file to restore from Retrospect, no worries about locating lots of files etc. So easy, if much later someone wants another master. I like the bounce project function because it makes one package. I import 24 bit files into WB, so it ends up doing my final dither. I aim not to have to do any level adjustments, although I will occasionally trim something down if necessary. click the "burn" button, insert a blank TY disc, burn at 8x.ġ0. close the project, open the "image" file, wait for the waveform to draw.ĩ. wait a few extra seconds for the image to totally finish rendering.ħ. click the "bounce project" button to save the "image" (actually a package).Ħ. check preferences for proper dither & burn settings.ĥ. Preview the transitions to double check everything.ģ. results in the typical checkerboard arrangement. Edit the regions: adjust spacing, pregaps, fades, crossfades, levels, CD Text, ISRC, etc. Import (drag & drop) the audio files into the regions list.Ģ. Seeing Jerry bringing up his procedure with Waveburner I thought I'd ask how everyone else runs itġ.
